Registration & Tuition

How to Register:

To register, revisit this page after the date that is announced as the opening of registration (not known as of 1/28/10).   The options below will have active links that will allow you to register online or download a registration form.

You may register in one of the following ways:

  1. Register online.
  2. Download, Print and Fax the Registration Form to: (610) 519-7596
  3. Download, Print and e-mail a PDF of the completed Registration Form to:
    summermusic@villanova.edu
Please double-check that the pdf is complete (nothing "cut-off" and that the document is legible if it was scanned) before sending.
Unfortunately, we can not provide "tech-support" or instructions on how to send a pdf.   If you do not know how to do this, please register online or send your registration by fax or US Mail.
  4. Download, Print, and Mail the Registration Form to:
    Summer Music Program
    Office of Music Activities
    Villanova University
    800 Lancaster Avenue
    Villanova, PA 19085-1699

Please Note: Regardless of the way in which you register, you will receive official confirmation of your registration (which is also your only invoice for balance due) via US mail in approximately two weeks. If you do not hear from us after two weeks, please call the summer music registrar at 610.519.7214.
Due to the large numbers of registrants, receipt of registration (via mail, fax, e-mail, or online) will not be confirmed by phone.

Materials, Equipment & Supplies

Waiting Lists:

Most courses fill rapidly because of high demand. Technology Courses and Band Instrument Repair are particularly popular. In the event your first choice is not available, if you opt for ‘YES’ in the waiting list column, we will put you on the waiting list and enroll you in your second choice (if applicable). If your first choice becomes available, we will attempt to contact you in a timely manner.

Credits/Auditing

Each course earns a designated number of graduate credits from our credit granting partner, The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, unless otherwise noted. Any course may be audited for no credit if there is room. There is no discount for auditing. Students may repeat a previously taken course, as the experience and content may be unique each time.  Be advised that course repetition may not be accepted by many school districts or colleges.

Deposits/Payment

A $100 non-refundable deposit per course is required for registration. Forms of payment include VISA, MasterCard, Discover (Discover not accepted on the online form), personal checks and money orders only. Debit cards for which a pin number is needed are not accepted. If you are requesting a course less than 14 days in advance, please call to confirm that space is available. Balance is due one month prior to the beginning of your first course - your confirmation letter is also your invoice (additional reminders are not sent).

If you make a deposit in order to be placed on the waiting list for a course that is full, you will receive a full refund of the deposit if a spot in the course does not open.

If you are requesting a course less than one month prior to start of course FULL PAYMENT is due at the time of application.

Refund Policy

All refunds are less nonrefundable deposits and fees and calculated as follows:

  • 100% refund less the $100 nonrefundable course deposit for withdrawal up to 14 days prior to the first class.
  • 0% refund for withdrawal within fewer than fourteen days.

All withdrawals must be submitted in writing via fax (610-519-7596), email (summermusic@villanova.edu), or letter.

Course Cancellation

Villanova University reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment.  If a cancellation should occur, students will be notified at least seven days in advance and have the option taking another course or receiving a full refund (including the full deposit).
