Registration & Tuition

How to Register:

Registration for Summer 2008 is open.  You may register in one of the following ways:

  1. Fill out a Registration Form online and send it to us electronically. 
    Please note:  Once you register you will NOT receive a confirmation via e-mail. 
    A browser window WILL pop up that has a printable copy of the information that you sent.  Be sure not to close any windows until the confirmation appears.  This will serve as your receipt until confirmation is received via US Mail in about two weeks.  
  2. Download, Print and Fax the Registration Form to:

Please Note: Regardless of the way in which you register, you will receive official confirmation of your registration (which is also your only invoice for balance due) via USPS in approximately two weeks. If you do not hear from us in after weeks, please call Gloria at 610.519.5050.
Due to the large numbers of registrants, receipt of registration (via mail, fax, or e-mail) can not be confirmed by phone.

Tuition

Following are the tuition prices for Summer 2008, and apply only to courses listed here as offered through the University of the Arts. 

3 credit courses

  • Technology courses – $750
  • String Workshop – $700
  • All other 3cr courses – $650

4 credit courses

  • Orff Level 1 Certification Course – $850

Courses for non-credit

  • Handbell non-credit $175 (130M, 229M)

Materials, Equipment & Supplies

Our convenient low tuition covers the entire cost of the program including special equipment, texts (if any), supplies, and materials. There are no other costs.

Waiting Lists:

Most courses fill rapidly because of high demand. Technology courses are particularly popular. In the event your first choice is not available, if you opt for ‘YES’ in the waiting list column, we will put you on the waiting list and enroll you in your second choice (if applicable). If your first choice becomes available, we will attempt to contact you in a timely manner.

Credits/Auditing

Each course offers 3 graduate credits from The University of the Arts unless otherwise noted. Any course may be audited for no credit if there is room. There is no discount for auditing.

Deposits/Payment

A $100 non-refundable deposit per course is required for registration. Forms of payment include VISA, Mastercard, Discover, personal checks and money orders only. No Debit cards accepted. If you are requesting a course less than 14 days in advance, please call to confirm that space is available. Balance is due one month prior to the beginning of your first course. Our office does not send reminders - your original confirmation letter also serves as your only invoice.

If you are requesting a course less than one month prior to start of course FULL PAYMENT is Due with application.

Cancellations

You may cancel your registration and receive a full refund (minus the $100 registration fee per course) up to 14 days prior to the beginning of your course.  Cancellations must be made in writing via mail, fax (see contact info above), or e-mail (to gloria.rubin@villanova.edu). Failure to notify us of cancellation will result in the forfeiture of any and all payments. Villanova University reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment, in which case you will be notified at least seven days in advance and all payments, including deposit monies, will be returned.
