FAQs for Break Housing
What if I cannot go home over one of the Breaks?

Fall, Thanksgiving, Spring and Easter Breaks

Your housing contract is for the full academic year, which starts on the first day of the fall semester, concludes on the last day of your final exam schedule in the Spring semester, and excludes scheduled University break or vacation periods. Residence halls will remain open during the Fall, Spring and Easter Breaks for those students with transportation concerns, academic programs requiring them to do so or participation in University sponsored activities. Students who must stay on campus during these break periods must register through NOVASIS.

Christmas/Semester Break

Villanova HousingAll residence halls are closed during the semester break. Students who must stay on campus during this break period for University sponsored activities must apply through NOVASIS, and must be approved by the Office for Residence Life to stay on campus during this break period. It is important to note that students who must stay on campus during the semester break for a University sponsored program may be required to take up residence in a hall other than their own during this time. Because this is generally a low occupancy period, the University closes all but a few halls.
