Fall 2009 Check-In Dates:
Freshman - Wednesday, August 19 and limited hours Thursday, August 20
Upperclassmen - Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23
When should I arrive? Freshmen and new Transfer Students: Check-In for Freshmen
and new Transfer Students is Wednesday, August 19 between 11:00
am and
6:00 pm. Limited check-in hours are available on Thursday, August 20
between 9:00 am and noon. Report directly to the Check-In table of your assigned residence hall.
Early check-in will not be permitted. Please be patient as the heaviest traffic
will be in the early afternoon hours on Wednesday, August 19. During the heavy check-in times,
please expect 1-2 hour delays in the Main Lot. We appreciate your patience
during Check-In.
Upperclassmen: Check-In for
upperclassmen is Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23 between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm. Report directly to your assigned apartment or residence hall room.
Note: For reasons of safety and security, Residence life cannot
approve early arrival for individuals who have transportation concerns, family
obligations, etc. Students with arrival concerns should look to make other
arrangements for arrival which allow them to Check-In during the dates and times
scheduled for upperclass check-in. Back to

Can I mail packages ahead? Yes: Students needing to ship their belongings to campus may do so in early
August. Please address the parcels as follows:

The Orientation staff will attempt to deliver freshmen resident student
parcels arriving by August 14, to a storage area in the vicinity of your
assigned residence hall prior to your arrival. The exact location of the storage
area will be available when you arrive at your residence hall. Packages
received after August 14 must be picked up by the student at the mailroom in

Where should we park when we arrive?
Once you drop off your belongings at your residence hall, you will be directed
