Housing Assignment Process for
Incoming Freshman Residents

As an entering freshman in the fall, you will receive a Housing Assignment if:

  1. you applied to the University as a Resident for First-Time Undergraduate studies beginning in the fall,
  2. you were Accepted as a Resident for First-Time Undergraduate studies beginning in the fall, and
  3. you paid your deposit of $700 by postmarked no later than May 1, 2008.

Once you have submitted your non-refundable admission registration deposit, as stated in your acceptance letter, you will be able to accept the terms of your housing agreement three (3) business days later.

Criteria for your specific assignment will be based on:

  1. the date that your admission deposit is processed.
  2. your involvement in designated programs such as Learning Communities.
  3. your sleeping preference (early to bed, early to rise vs. late to bed, late to rise).
  4. a medical conditions requiring special accommodations.
  5. your interest in substance-free housing.
  6. your interest in single-gender living preference.
  7. your smoking preference. (All residence halls are smoke-free.)
