Steps to Guide you through the Application Process
1. Attend an Informational Meeting We strongly
encourage all students interested in applying for a Residence Staff position to
attend one of the three information sessions being held. View the dates
here.
2. Read the RA Information
In order to fully understand the responsibilities associated with the RA
position, we strongly encourage you to carefully read all information on this
site especially the Resident Assistant job
description. We also recommend that you talk with your RA to learn more about
the position before applying.
3. Apply Online and Sign Up For An Interview Time
You can access the RA Application online in
NOVASIS.
Complete the application and select your interview time.
If you have difficulty applying online, you can
receive assistance in the Office for Residence Life in Kennedy Hall, by calling
610-519-4155, or by emailing
jennifer.derry@villanova.edu. All applications must

4. The Interview Process
Prior to your interview, please take some time to review the Villanova University Mission Statement found here and the Office for Residence Life Mission Statement found here.
The Interview Process will take place over two weekends. Each candidate will
be required to attend one morning or afternoon session. Each session will take
approximately four hours. Each candidate will be placed in a group of
approximately eight people. Each group of eight candidates will participate in
two activities together. In addition to these group activities, each candidate
will participate in an individual interview.

5. You'll Need a Reference
You must obtain a Reference from a University faculty or staff member. Please
access the
Reference Form ,
which you must print, sign, and give to the individual writing your letter. If
you are not currently a Villanova University student, you may obtain a letter of
recommendation from a faculty or staff member at your current institution.
Note: Your current RA or HRA should not write letters of
recommendation. Your RA will have an opportunity to recommend you at a later
date.
