There will
be planned activities for family and friends throughout the weekend. Relatives
are responsible for their own housing and meals.
Opening Ceremonies: Friday, November 6th (7:00
p.m.) -
The Pavilion
Family Packets: Family packets will be
available and can be picked up from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at the
family tent, which is located at Olympic Town (located in “The Quad”), or “Ask
Me” booths located on Bartley Lane, and nearby Mendel Field. These packets
contain small gifts, as well as information on restaurants and places of
worship.
Hospitality: The hospitality committee will
have hospitality booths located at the Oreo, Mendel Field, and Bartley Lane on
Friday and Mendel Field and Bartley Lane on Saturday. The booths will be
accessible during the following times:
- Friday, November
6th, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday, November
7th, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Healthy Athletes: The mission of Special
Olympics Healthy Athletes is to improve the athletes' ability to train and
compete in Special Olympics. Healthy Athletes is designed to help Special
Olympics athletes improve their health and fitness, leading to enhanced
sports experience and improved well-being. This year, Villanova University's
Fall Festival will be hosting four clinics for the Healthy Athletes
Initiative: Fit Feet, Special Smiles, Healthy Hearing, and Opening Eyes.
