*If arriving after Registration
ends at 3:30 p.m., disregard the instructions below. Your bus should go directly
to Pike Lot to drop off your athletes.
Delegation Arrival
Friday, November 7th
11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.*
Connelly Center, Villanova Room
Buses will proceed on Lancaster
Ave. (Rt. 30) until they reach the intersection of Lancaster and Ithan Ave.
Buses will then turn left onto N. Ithan Ave. and proceed past Bartley Hall to
the Main Entrance (guard tower). Buses will make a left into the Main Entrance
and proceed past the guard tower to a point clearly marked right before the
Connelly Center where athletes will be dropped off. At this point, SOPA staff
and Villanova Public Safety officers will direct your bus to your point of
exit. The majority of buses will be directed through campus on the route marked
by arrows on the map below. In the case of traffic buildup, bus drivers may be
directed at the drop-off point to take an alternate route in order to exit
campus. Both routes will exit onto Spring Mill Road.
When exiting campus, buses will
make a left turn onto Spring Mill Road and proceed on Spring Mill to the first
traffic light (Lancaster Ave., Rt. 30). Buses will then make a left turn onto
Lancaster and proceed back towards the intersection of Ithan and Lancaster. At
this intersection, buses will make a right onto S. Ithan Ave. and then left into
Pike Lot where they can park.
Note: This drop off route is
only for Friday!
Delegation Registration
Friday, Nov. 7th
12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Connelly Center, Villanova Room
STEP 1: Only the
county’s/area’s Head of Delegation may register. The HODs should present the
registration chairperson with a list of scratches/activations at this time, as
well as any missing information. Last minute scratches/activations may also be
phoned in to the SOPA-Norristown office at (800) 235-9058 ext. 223, the
Villanova Special Olympics office at (610) 519-7244, or faxed to (610) 519-7956
(Attn: Alessandro Roco - Special Olympics) during the week of the event, or prior
to departure by 12:00 p.m. (NOON). Alternates will only be allowed to compete
in place of scratched athletes or coaches. Alternates will not be
activated after registration is completed. Registration fees will not
be refunded for scratched athletes.
STEP 2: The HOD will pick up
the welcoming packet for their area/county in the Connelly Center Cinema during
registration. The welcoming packet will contain the following:

STEP 3: The HOD must give the
registration chairperson a cell phone or pager number where they can be reached
immediately in case of emergency.
Hotel Registration
Friday, Nov. 7th
3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Connelly Center,
Villanova Room
STEP 1: HODs should come with
a copy of the NCR housing form that he/she filled out as part of his/her
county’s/area’s registration packet. Verify that all athletes have been housed
in your hotel.
STEP 2: After hotel
registration, the HOD will pick up and distribute the room keys to his/her
delegation. Room keys WILL NOT be available before this
time. The HOD is responsible for returning room keys of any scratched
athletes who did not attend the Festival. They should return the keys to
the registration table by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 7th.
STEP 3: Any changes in room
assignments must be given to the front desk of the respective hotel (yellow
copy) and to S.O.S. (white copy). Please keep the pink copy for your records.
For security and medical reasons, no room assignments may be changed
after the updated housing form is submitted.
