New Student Receptions
New Student Receptions are coordinated by the Office of University Admission
and the Villanova University Alumni Association. These gatherings help
make the college transition a little easier by giving you the opportunity to
meet classmates and learn more about Villanova University in the summer
before they arrive in August.

Student Reception scheduled in your area.
New Student Orientation
Villanova’s Orientation is a four day program in which new students get to
familiarize themselves with both academic and student life at Villanova.
During the program, Academic Deans, faculty, students, and Student Life
administrators meet formally and informally with the new students. These
meetings will answer questions, address concerns, and highlight the wide
variety of services and activities available at Villanova for students.
Read all about Orientation and the many exciting
and very special events planned for our new students.
Parents Weekend
Parents Weekend is a special time when parents of new students, and not so
new students, get to visit the campus with the start of a new season in mid-late
September each year. Some
events that could be scheduled for this weekend are a Villanova football game,
soccer game, the Senior Breakfast, the Junior Ring Ceremony, special sessions
offered by Career Services, performances by our student musical and dance
groups, Friday night entertainment and special Philadelphia area group trips.
The Parents Weekend flyer is mailed during the month of August but feel free to
read the Parents Weekend web page
for general information and dates.
Little Wildcat Weekend
Little Wildcat Weekend brings siblings together at Villanova to share some
special time. Fun-filled events are scheduled throughout a January weekend
each year such as ice skating, movies, a magic show, character breakfast, and
lots of special Philadelphia area visits like the Camden Aquarium. Watch
for the Little Wildcat Weekend flyer in your mail this fall but until then, feel
free to get an overview of our Little Wildcat
Weekend on the web.
Commencement
Commencement and the weeks leading to it will be busy and rewarding.
Our students' accomplishment of fulfilling their degree requirements and
becoming a transformed individual from when they arrived four, short, years ago
-- seem almost impossible. This Commencement Weekend is meant to honor and
acknowledge each of our graduates. Our many closing events always bring a mix of emotions and hopes of a
successful future for our graduates. The schedule of events for this
weekend will be mailed to the address on record for the graduate but
check out the Commencement web site from time
to time for updates and information.
