The Campus Activities Team (CAT) is responsible for providing
cultural, educational, and recreational programs for the students and
community of Villanova University. CAT commits itself to students
through leadership, development, and quality programming.
The
organization is divided into committees, each run by a student
coordinator. Each committee programs for different types of events. The committees include: Class Events, Commuter Programming,
Entertainment, Cinematic Arts, Ideas and Issues, Musical Events,
Promotions and Public Relations, and Special Events. Also on the CAT
executive board are a Research and Development coordinator as well as
a Webmaster. CAT also works with other groups to co-program events
for students. Groups we have recently co-programmed with include: BCS, SGA, IHC, VUTV, and The Office for Fraternity and Sorority Life.
Some of CAT's most notable yearly events include: The Junior Ring
Ceremony, Homecoming Quad Party, Siblings Weekend, Fall and Spring
Concerts, and Merry Christmas Villanova Week. There are also
concerts, comedians, and speakers throughout the year. CAT is the
largest student-run organization at Villanova and it continues to
program great events for the Villanova community and to develop future
leaders among its members.
