The Musical Events Committee is dedicated to putting on concerts that the Villanova
community will flock to. We plan large shows and small shows alike as long as we
know they will be a good time. Some of our past successes have been Jason Mraz,
The Ataris, The String Cheese Incident, Howie Day, Guster, Dispatch, Our Lady
Peace, Don McCloskey, Fountains of Wayne, and many others. Additionally, we
co-programmed with many campus departments to put on Villanova's very first
Concert for a Cure, a large-scale AIDS benefit featuring Guster and The Roots. Members will
potentially have the opportunity to meet and work with the talent we bring as
well as have many opportunities to participate outside larger scale concerts. If
you love music and want to get involved in what groups come to campus, come
check us out.
Possible Member Responsibilities
Members of the Musical Events participate in the production of our
concerts, shows and Live Music Wednesdays series.
Committee-members assist with equipment set-up, hospitality, security
and ticketing, among other duties. Additionally, members help plan
future shows on campus.
