CELEBRATING OVER 100 YEARS
In 1902, under the guidance of Father Matthew Cochran, a small group of
students from St. Mary’s Hall (later Corr Hall) founded the first
fraternity at Villanova with the purpose of studying the classics and
promoting social interactions.
Today, over a century later, fraternities and sororities are thriving at
Villanova with similar missions that seek to evoke leadership qualities
in their members by sponsoring service, philanthropic, scholarly, and
social activities.
The Fraternity and Sorority community at Villanova University has grown
tremendously over the last one hundred years. Today it consists of over
1300 diverse students in 10 fraternities and 9 sororities, all with
national affiliations.
We hope this website will provide you some insight into these
organizations and the Greek community at Villanova University.
