In June of 2007, President Peter Donohue signed the American College & University
Presidents Climate Commitment, which "is a high-visibility effort to address
global warming by garnering institutional commitments to neutralize greenhouse
gas emissions, and to accelerate the research and educational efforts of higher
education to equip society to re-stabilize the earth’s climate" (ACUPCC).
In an effort to ensure that the University stays true to this commitment, Fr.
Donohue assembled a President's Climate Commitment Team, which consists of a
variety of environmentally-minded faculty, staff and students from within the
Villanova University community.
The team is broken into two parts:

- The Core Team, which meets monthly to
work on implementing the President's Climate Commitment
- The Board, which serves in an advisory capacity to assist the Core Team.
If you would like to become a member of this team, please email
