The Instructional Technologies team consists of Academic Support
Services, Media Services, Training Services, and support for
Villanova's public computing labs and academic software libraries. Instructional
Technologies, located in TSB, provides services and
resources to promote the use of technology in teaching and learning.
Some of the services provided include:
- support for E-Learning technologies such as WebCT
Vista/Blackboard
- design
and development of online courses
- review of emerging instructional
technologies
- support of faculty development
- streaming media and video teleconferencing studios
- workshops and seminars for faculty, students
and staff
- software applications for instruction and research
- management of the public computing labs on campus.
In addition, CIT
operates two specialized multimedia development labs where faculty and
students design and develop course materials. These are located in
Tolentine Hall, Lower Level, and TSB, Rm 107
The mission of Instructional Technologies is to assist faculty as
they work with technology for research, teaching, and learning.
