Web Services & Technologies is a division within University Information Technologies that provides professional web and application design, development, hosting, web technology and much more to support Villanova University departmental web needs.

Responsibilities Include:

• Development and maintenance of the Villanova University web and those departments/colleges choosing the Web Service Level Agreement.
• Providing web based solutions that are not explicitly part of the core University ERP or MS systems for the University and its various constituencies.
• Ensuring compliance with Villanova University branding standards. throughout the VU web.
• Acting as the Villanova University Webmaster - responsible for managing and administering content, design and quality of the University web pages.
• Providing guidance and assistance to departments and schools in the creation of their web presence, particularly as it applies to the University identity

Web applications designed by this group include forms, surveys, voting, newswire, and various web applications. Currently, Web Services & Technologies is developing and implementing Web Standards, a project that involves a complete redesign of the University website, workflow, web ownership and service.

Web Services & Technologies is also responsible for the University's portal selection, development and implementation. This group requires an on-going interface and partnership with UIS, Operations and Technology Office groups to provide excellent service, support and quality for the University web.
