Your Villanova Accounts & Passwords

Villanova University provides every student, faculty, and staff member with a VU UserID and password. UNIT provides these through the mail for all students, faculty, and staff members. If you have not received one please notify the TechZONE in Vasey Hall room 101 or contact us by phone at (610) 519-7777.

NOVASIS is a Villanova standard system that is NOT associated with this VU UserID and password. Please see below for more information. If you need help with your Accounts, go to the Account FAQs Page.

The new VU password is automatically generated. You can change the password at any time. Simply refer to our web site for instructions under "Edit your Account". Please remember that because this password applies to multiple systems, you should not give your VU userID or password to anyone.

What if I forget my password?

Use the self service reset password. Students, faculty or staff can contact the TechZONE or HelpDesk when they forget their VU password and a new password will be assigned. The old password can not be retrieved.

What are my options?

Only a Villanova UNIT staff member will be able to give out the VU password when a student presents a picture id or required information over the phone. Note: new passwords cannot be assigned over the internet.

Students who are not on campus can fax a copy of a photo id to the TechZONE, (610) 519-6439 or call (610) 519-7777. A Villanova UNIT staff member will contact you with the password during normal business hours.

Novasis

How do I register and /or access my grades on-line?

Students can access their personal account information, grades, class registration and other information at http://www.registrar.villanova.edu. Your Novasis account can be accessed at any time. Your Novasis userID is your VU ID and your Novasis Password was assigned by the Registrar's Office. You receive a mailing when you register for classes for the first time.

If you forget your Novasis password go to www.novasis.villanova.edu, click on secure login, and the link "Don't know your Novasis Pin?". This will allow you to acquire your Novasis password information. Any other questions about grades should call 610-519-4030.

Villanova Account ID's and Passwords

As a new Villanova employee, you will need a number of computer accounts and passwords to access such things as email, calendar, student/financial records, shared network printers/files, and your own employee information. There are three main accounts you may need to obtain from UNIT.

  1. VU ID - Your VU ID and password is the most important information that you will need because you will use it to log into many systems on campus including VUAD (which you log into when you start your computer each day), Outlook or WebMail/OWA (to check your email), the Villanova Homepage, various online bulletin boards, and Microsoft FrontPage (used to create/edit your personal webpage) just to name a few. Anytime you are asked to "authenticate," you will use your VU ID and password. You can obtain these from the UNIT Help Desk (x97777).
  2. NOVASIS - Novasis is the website to Villanova's Banner database and is accessible directly from the Villanova Homepage (you must first login). As a staff member, you can use Novasis to view your benefits information, leave history/balances, pay stubs, and W-2 form. You can also view and update your address and phone numbers, register for parking, apply for tuition remission, and more using Novasis. If you are a faculty member, you will use Novasis to view your class lists, enter mid-term and final grades, and obtain contact information for your students. Your Novasis userid and password should be mailed to your home address soon after you are hired. If you lose or never receive this information, you can request it using the "Unable to login and don't know your Novasis PIN?" form located on the Novasis Homepage.
  3. Banner - If your job requires you to access our Banner student/financial records system, you will need a userid and password. You can obtain this from the Technology Support Helpdesk (x97777) or by filling out the online "Banner ID" request form located on the "On-Line Forms" list on the Villanova Homepage (you must first login with your VU ID and password).
