Lost user id and password?

Email, Novell Client Servers, My Classrooms, Villanova Homepage Login, MS Frontpage, Computer IP Registration, please go to: http://vuauth.villanova.edu/vusecurity/passwordSelfReset (be prepared to supply your student id number and wildcard number).  If you experience problems, please contact the helpdesk at 97777 or walk-in to the TechZONE in Vasey Hall, Rm. 101 for a password reset.

Novasis, please go to www.novasis.villanova.edu and click on Enter Secure NOVASIS Area, then go to “Unable to Login and Don't Know Your Novasis PIN. ”

Where do I pick up my new computer?

Incoming Freshman Class and Junior Class of 2010 can participate in the Early Ship program to receive their laptop in the summer of 2008. Students not participating in the early ship option please follow these instructions: Juniors can pick up their new laptop during the first week of classes at the TechZONE in 102 Vasey Hall.  Freshmen who do not participate in the early ship option can pick up their laptop during Orientation at the TechZONE in 102 Vasey Hall.

Early Ship Option to receive your new laptop during the summer. The option to sign-up for Early Ship in Novasis will be available starting on May 7, 2008.

Please follow the instructions below to sign-up for Early Ship through Novasis:

  • Login to Novasis at: http://novasis.villanova.edu
  • Click on Login to Secure Area (Forgot your pin? Go to Novasis, click on Login to Secure Area, Click on “Forgot your pin?” and follow the instructions.)
  • Click on Personal Information
  • Click on Laptop Program Ship to Address
  • Accept the Program Agreement
  • Complete the address information

Please Note: By filling out the form on the web, you have accepted the Terms and Conditions of your Laptop Program Agreement.

Transfers (School of Business and College of Engineering Only) can pick up their machine at the TechZONE in Vasey Hall, Rm. 101 during the first week of classes.

If I purchase a computer before entering the Laptop Program, can I use it?

No, the policy is for all incoming Freshmen, and Juniors to participate in the Laptop Program regardless of their personal computer. 

Where do I go for laptop service and support?

The TechZONE, in Vasey Hall, Rm. 101, is a walk-in hardware and software support service center for all Villanova University issued laptops. Non Villanova University issued laptops can receive software and connectivity support. A Dell certified technician is available on-campus during the week (Monday through Friday). What cable will I need to use in class?

Every computer distributed to students will come with a 10ft green Ethernet cable to be used throughout campus. If you require the older gray cable, please contact your RA or

What do I do if my laptop is stolen?

Each student is responsible for the care of his or her computer. The student is responsible for any loss, damage or theft of the computer up to $1,000.00 for the first incident. Students must file a police report and contact Villanova University’s Public Safety Department at 610-519-6979.

Villanova University’s Public Safety Department will contact the Laptop Program Administrator to prepare a replacement laptop. The student’s tuition will be charged the deductible amount of $1,000.00 and another laptop will be issued to the student.

If I am studying abroad, can I take my laptop?

Yes, if your college participates in the Villanova Laptop Program, students who are studying abroad are encouraged to take their laptop with them.  If a study abroad student has problems with their laptop while studying abroad, the student must call 610-519-7777 or email support@villanova.edu explaining any issues they are experiencing with the laptop.  Please review the information on our policies of your studying abroad.

What must I do, if I leave the Laptop Program?

If for any reason you are no longer a full-time student in a college that participates in the Villanova Laptop Program, you must return your laptop to the TechZONE in Vasey Hall, Rm. 101 as soon as possible.  For more information, please visit our policies page.
