Video Teleconferencing

Video Teleconferencing

Would you like to have a colleague give a lecture from another state or even country? The Center for Instructional Technologies has developed a Video Teleconferencing room in Tolentine 19. This new service allows users to hold high quality video conferences, over ISDN or IP, with colleagues from the area, across the state, throughout the country and around the world.

About the System

This Tandberg Video Teleconferencing room is equipped with 3 ISDN lines that allow for various rates from 128k to 384k of transmission. IP This system consists of:

  • Smart Board
  • Document camera
  • Computer input via a laptop
  • VCR
  • Instructor camera
  • Student camera
  • 3 television monitors

At least 48 hours notice is required for placing a call. Scheduling is on a first come first serve basis, subject to technician availability.
