looks easier to read - why?

Targeted information is securely provided to you in web parts or modules known as “channels” which is an easier-to-read format which you can customize (minimize, maximize, move, add more, close.) For instance, you may want to close the Accuweather channel so it doesn't display, or move the Accuweather channel up to the top right of your window. You will now have easier access to various Villanova sites. Some of the channels on the HOME tab include:
  • Campus Announcements
  • Personal Announcements
  • Important Links
  • Useful Links
  • Bookmarks
  • Happenings
  • Campus Currents
  • Accuweather
  • St. Augustine Day by Day
  • VU Directory
Tabs at the top left of the portal contain information categories, such as Work @ VU for HR, Payroll, W2 forms, Beneficiary, etc. type information; and Library for access to all information found in the library. You can customize your   experience via the My Tab  tab. You can create channels and place them in the order you prefer and can combine areas from the various Tabs. You can even make My Tab the default tab when you login into .

Links at the top right of the portal include:
