It is essential that you first uninstall all other anti-virus
applications such as Norton Home, or McAfee VirusScan Home edition prior
to installing McAfee VirusScan Enterprise edition (below). Serious computer problems will result if you do not uninstall
existing Anti-Virus software.
Instructions
The University has made McAfee Virus Scan available as a FREE
download to Villanova Students.
NOTE: If you have previously installed McAfee VirusScan
Enterprise 8.0i on your computer, or you are upgrading the McAfee
installation on your Villanova computer, you must run the following
update before proceeding.
To download and install McAfee VirusScan Enterprise software:
VU students must be logged in to the browser/homepage to view the
download link.
- Close all applications before beginning this process.
- When prompted, enter your VU (email) username and password.
- If you are prompted to open or save the file, click Save.
- Save the file (called Setup_VSE850.exe) to your desktop.
- Locate Setup_VSE850.exe installer icon on your desktop and
double-click to open it.
