The Web Services & Technologies Group creates web applications for a variety of college and department needs. Listed below are web applications already in production. On-Line Subscription App for Online Newsletters
& Magazines

Application enables user to subscribe, unsubscribe - Collects user information, comments - Creates an email list for colleges

Online Event Registration Form

Enables owner to set/delete available times - Enables user to view available times, select appt time, sends email to user.

On-line Registration & I-Payment Application

In conjunction with UNIT's EWS group this web application collects registration information into an Excell database as a csv file, totals amount due and links to i-payment - Adds user information to listserv if desired

Appointment Scheduler

Application enables owner ability to: - control available times, cancel appointments, view appointments, user info and reason for appt. Application enables user to:

• view open times
• schedule an appt
• cancel appt - Owner and user are emailed with appt information and cancellation if necessary

Dining Services Menu Application

This application is intended to provide a web-based utility for viewing past, present, and upcoming menus offered in the Villanova dining halls.  Additionally, users will be able to determine the ingredient and nutrient information for each menu item shown, along with whether it is vegan, vegetarian or ‘healthy cat’.  Users can select multiple items from a menu and view a summary of the calories and nutritional value of their ‘meal tray’.

Active Data X Calendar

A University wide calendar that enables users to register for events, displays events on websites and provides a consistent calendar.

Ride Share Application

This application enables people to identify their scheduled travel plans and to invite passengers to join. Interested passengers can view available rides and contact the driver.

Blog Site

Fall 2008, WST is piloting Blog Sites with Dining Services, University Shop, Part-Time Studies and Student Life. Blog owners will post blogs and accept comments, which be posted upon their review and approval. Pending success of this pilot project, additional blog sites may be added in the Spring semester.
