Hands-On Workshops
UNIT’s Instructional Technologies group offers a wide
variety of hands-on training sessions to help you
advance your computer knowledge and skills. Courses are
offered on the entire Microsoft Office Suite, in addition to
Banner, Oracle Discoverer, Adobe Acrobat Forms, CD Burning
and more!
Workshops are open to all Villanova faculty, staff

One-on-one and departmental sessions are also available.

Blackboard (WebCT) Training
UNIT also offers a variety of workshops, labs and demos on
Blackboard (formerly known as WebCT), Villanova’s course
management tool of choice. In these sessions, faculty will
learn how to: upload syllabi and course content; utilize the
online gradebook, use testing, chat
and other tools; create podcasts; and more.

Online Training
For those too busy to attend a UNIT workshop, online
training is also available (to faculty and staff only) via
Element K Online. Comprised of a series of self-paced online
courses, Element K allows you to select the courses and
topics that you want to cover and to move at your own pace.
