Online Training (Element K)

For those faculty and staff too busy to attend a UNIT Workshop, Element K Online is a great way to learn how to use the software programs that you need to use daily.

Comprised of a series of self-paced online courses, Element K Online allows you to select the courses and topics that you want to cover and to move at your own pace. Element K Online delivers computer training online via the internet. All that you need to use this service is a computer with internet access and a set of speakers or headphones.

Using interactive lessons, Element K Online not only teaches you computer skills, but it also allows you to practice those skills right-online!

Who Can Use Element K Online?

Every full-time and part-time faculty and staff member at Villanova is eligible to use Element K Online. Unfortunately, at this time, accounts are not available for Villanova students.

How can I get an Element K Account?

To obtain an Element K account, contact the UNIT Helpdesk at 610-519-7777 (x97777) and request that an account be created for you. Be sure to specify whether you need the Office Professional suite of classes, the Computer Professional suite of classes, or both. Within 48 hours, your account will be created and your login information will be emailed to your Villanova address.

What Can I Learn With Element K?

Villanova currently subscribes to two different online suites in Element K: Office Professional and Computer Professional. When requesting an Element K account, please specify which suite or classes you would like access to (or both).

  • You can get help in various ways, depending on what you need help with:
    For basic navigation questions, you might want to try Element K's online Help feature. Simply click the Help button.
  • If you are having problems logging in, upgrading Shockwave and/or Flash or increasing the volume control on your PC, please contact the Helpdesk at 610-519-7777 (x97777).
  • If you need any other technical assistance regarding Element K, you can call Element K Customer Support at 1-800-250-5013. Technical Support representatives are available from 7 AM - 8 PM EST, Monday through Friday.
