Have Questions about your Wildcard? Below is a list of frequently asked questions about the Wildcard.

Q: How do I make additional deposits?

A: You can make additional deposits at any time. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or debit accounts. You can come into the office or send a check or credit card deposit in through the mail. Villanova University Wildcard Office, Dougherty Hall 800 Lancaster Avenue Villanova, PA 19085 Another way of making a deposit into your Wildcard is with our online deposit feature. Students and parents can add value to the Wildcard through the web by using a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card. Visit our Account Services section to access our online features. You will be able to add funds, check your balances and view your recent transactions anytime you want. Your electronic funds will be available immediately. However, there will be a $1.50 convenience fee when you add value through the web. For instance, if you deposit $50.00 online your credit card will be charged $51.50.

Q: Can I let someone borrow my card?

A: Rights and privileges associated with the card are non- transferable. Do not lend your card to a friend or give them any PIN's associated with your card accounts. You are held accountable for all financial and business transaction conducted with your Wildcard. Always carry your Wildcard with you as it is your proof that you are a student, faculty or staff member, and besides it will make your life easier with all of its capabilities.

Q: What if I find someone else's card?

A: If you find someone else's card, be sure to return it to the Wildcard office, or call 610.519.6202 for further instructions. Attempting to use a lost and/or stolen card for any purpose can be considered theft.

Q: What if I lose my card?

A: Report the loss immediately to the Wildcard office in Dougherty Hall to prevent unauthorized use of your card. When the Wildcard office is closed, you can report the loss online at; http://www.villanova.edu/wildcard/services or you may also report the loss to Public Safety at 610.519.6979. Once you contact the Wildcard office or Public Safety, your Wildcard account will be frozen immediately. To replace your Wildcard, simply stop by the Wildcard office during normal business hours to have your card reissued. There is a card replacement fee of $25. Frozen accounts may be reactivated online at: http://www.villanova.edu/wildcard/services. Only your most recently issued card can be reactivated. 

Q: Who is eligible?

A: The Wildcard is required for all Villanova students, faculty and staff as their identification card. Alumni, Dependents and Radnor Township residents are eligible to purchase a Wildcard for a fee of $25.

Q: If I'm on a student meal plan, can I still use the Wildcard?

A: Absolutely! Your meal plan and Wildcard debit account are two separate accounts. The meal plan can be used at Dining Services locations and the Wildcard account can be used at all dining locations as well as selected off campus locations, which are listed here.

Q: How do I open my debit account?

A: Your rescricted Debit Account is automatically opened for you when you receive your Wildcard. After your initial deposit, you can use it everywhere on campus and at may locations off campus too. To make a deposit just complete a Wildcard deposit form and return it with your deposit - by check (made payable to Villanova University) or through Visa, MasterCard or Discover to the Wildcard Office in Dougherty Hall. Another way of making a deposit is with our online deposit feature. Students and parents can add value to the Wildcard through the Web by using a Visa, MasterCard, Discover card, or by eCheck. Q: How do I close my account?

A: Once your make a deposit into your Wildcard Restricted Debit Account your balance follows your from semester to semester. If you graduate or withdraw from the University, your balance transfers to your bursar’s account. If you terminate your employment, your funds will be refunded to your via a mailed check.

Q: Why Wachovia Bank?

A: When you open a Wachovia checking account, your Wildcard may also be your Wachovia ATM card. You can use it to get cash or make purchases with the money in your Wachovia checking account anywhere that NYCE®, Interlink®, or PLUS® are accepted. Wachovia, a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, offers Free Student Checking, with no minimum balance requirement and no monthly maintenance fees. Ask a Wachovia representative or visit www.wachovia.com/campuscard for more details about ATM access to Free Student Checking and other Wachovia accounts with your Wildcard. If you call 1-610-527-0726 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EST. you can sign up for a Wachovia checking account over the phone.
