The Department of Chemistry has also put together an incident flow chart to help walk you through any safety related incidents.

In the event of a chemical spill, follow the spill protocol.

In addition to the document listed on this website, each laboratory in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry have “Life Safety Boxes”, at their entrances, for use by first responders to understand the potential dangers and chemical hazards prior to entering the lab.  A picture of a typical “Life Safety Boxes” is shown below:
