Troubleshooting Tips

If you are experiencing difficulties connecting your computer to the projector, try these troubleshooting steps:

1.       Is the projector on? Make sure it is projecting something, such as a blue screen or a small display indicating lack of input (such as the words “Input-A” next to an “X” symbol)

2.       Is the projector physically connected to the computer? Make sure you have noted the port name on the back of the projector that the cable connects to.

3.       Is the computer sending output appropriately? Go to System Preferences and under “Displays” a window for the projector should appear. If it does not, click “Detect Displays” to ensure the computer is sending the image to the projector.

4.       Is the projector’s input configured appropriately? You may have to configure the projector manually via the “Source” or “Input” buttons in order to project the screen. This button will toggle through the ports on the projector. Keep pressing the button until the name of your port name is selected on-screen.
