Graduation & Commencement 2018

grad

As May 2018 commencement rapidly approaches, we want to make sure you have all the information you need regarding the weekend events. Listed below are a description and timeline of Commencement Events.  In addition, there are a few items that require action from you (ordering academic regalia and RSVPs for the HRD Pre-Graduation Reception).

Full information about commencement weekend can be found on the University's commencement webpage.

If you are coming from out of town and are in need of accommodations, Villanova has a list of local hotels and inns. Many local hotels will fill up quickly during this time of year, due to the many colleges & universities having graduation ceremonies, as well!

Who is invited to commencement?

All graduates of the past year - September 2017, December 2017, and May 2018 - are automatically registered for the May 2018commencement ceremony and will have a name card prepared for them if they choose to attend.

Graduates of the future September 2018 semester are also invited to participate in the May 2018 ceremony, if desired. Graduates of the September 2018 semester will need to complete a Permission to Participate in May Commencement form to be registered for the ceremony. Once registered, students will have a name card prepared for them and can walk and have their name read at graduation if they attend.
