Villanova will host its annual Freedom School in observance of the memory and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Thursday, January 25, 2018.  Each session lasts 60 minutes. Freedom School sessions cover a variety of topics including, for example, those listed below. Please consider offering a Freedom School session on a topic of your choosing. Please include a title and brief description (100 words) of your session, noting how it bears on the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  A booklet of abstracts of accepted Freedom School sessions will be distributed so that participants can plan their day. Also note your availability for the time of your session. The deadline for proposals is Friday, December 1st.

Villanova University will host its annual Freedom School in observance of the memory and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Freedom School sessions may cover a variety of topics, such as immigration, the possibilities and challenges of globalization, the rule of law and respect for human rights, affirmative action, education and social justice, peacemaking and peacekeeping, nonviolence and nonviolent social change, and the sins of racism and white supremacy. Each session would last about 60 minutes, and sessions will run in course with our regular class schedule (10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, and 2:30 pm).
