Philosophy Course Clusters

In addition to the College core requirements and the three course sequence in the History of Philosophy, Philosophy majors are required to take six upper-division electives.  Students may pursue a specific area of philosophy by taking one of the department's course clusters.

Students may select a cluster from the seven listed below which serves as the focal point and goal of the student's course of study. Of the six courses required to complete the major, students may take a minimum of three courses from the cluster and two Advanced Seminars (PHI 5000 - Adv Sem for Phil Majors).
