Daniel Regan, Assistant Professor of Philosophy; Academic Support Faculty Athletic Representative
Our friend and colleague, Dan Regan, passed away December 17, 2016. Dan spent 50 years at Villanova in the Philosophy department. He was the founding director of the Center for Peace and Justice Studies, a Lindback Award winning teacher, and the first NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative. Dan’s contributions to the University are immense and his contributions to each of us will be carried in our hearts and cherished. This past year Dan wrote a brief history of our department [History of Philosophy Department - Regan]. A brilliant philosopher with a remarkable memory, Dan was unfailingly kind, generous, and jovial. He made each of us better people, and I believe we are a better department because he spent his career with us. We will miss him dearly.
