Student Managed Funds at Villanova University began in 2004 with one fund of $100,000, and now consists of seven funds, totaling over $1 million in value. Funds have been provided by generous donations from various alumni and faculty of Villanova. Managing actual funds provides students with real-world investment management experience. Learn more about the three groups at Villanova that manage these funds below:

Generally, over 150 students are involved in the management of these funds each year. Students make the ultimate investment decisions under the guidance of professors and within a socially responsible framework set by the advisory boards of the funds. Each semester, all three groups are required to present their fund performance to industry professionals and professors on these advisory boards. These presentations provide students with feedback and learning experiences to increase investment management knowledge and continuously improve fund performance.
