PHILADELPHIA BUSINESS ATTRACTIONS and INCENTIVES THAT SUPPORT ECONOMIC GROWTH AND RETENTION
The 2017 site selection competition for Amazon’s HQ2 set off a frenzy of business attraction and incentives activity across North America. Philadelphia submitted a bid focusing on the Navy Yard and Schuylkill Yards sites and is regarded as a contender for this headquarters facility.
While HQ2 was a high profile exercise, business attraction efforts focused on enterprises of all sizes are a key activity of city and state government and public-private organizations in our region. Our speakers will profile the efforts to attract (and retain) private-sector businesses to Philadelphia, and they will discuss the toolkit of incentives that are available from the City and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain insight into Philadelphia’s current economic development initiatives, to learn to think about the City from a site selector’s point of view, and to build your knowledge about programs and incentives that could potentially be helpful to your clients.
