VILLANOVA, PA, May 5, 2015 - Villanova University President, the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, has announced Daniel Wright, PhD, the current Vice Dean of VSB, will serve as interim Dean effective August 1, 2015 as Patrick G. Maggitti, PhD, The Helen and William O’Toole Dean of VSB, transitions to Villanova University’s first Provost.
Dr. Wright has been a member of the VSB faculty since 2004 and served as the chairperson of the Management and Operations department from 2010 until 2013, when he became Vice Dean. As Vice Dean, Dr. Wright has managed VSB faculty and academic affairs by providing oversight and strategic vision on all matters related to faculty, academic programs and professional accreditation.
“I am honored to have been selected to serve as interim dean and I look forward to the opportunity of leading VSB’s talented group of faculty, staff and students,” said Wright.

Dr. Wright brings a commitment to excellence in teaching and extensive experience supervising faculty, managing curricular and faculty processes, and a strong working knowledge of VSB and University policies and practices to this role. He also brings a strong portfolio of research, winning several prestigious awards and serving on the editorial board of the scholarly journal Decision Sciences.
