Daniel M. DiLella '73 VSB has been appointed Chairperson of the Semiquincentennial Commission for the United States of America

VILLANOVA, Pa., May 11, 2018 – Villanova School of Business (VSB) is proud to announce that Daniel DiLella ’73 VSB, President and CEO of Equus Capital Partners, Ltd. (“Equus”), has been appointed Chairperson of The Semiquincentennial Commission for the United States of America.  

The Commission was formed by the United States Congress to prepare an overall program for commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States and the historic events proceeding the anniversary in July 2026. The Commission is tasked with developing a report for the President of the United States and Congress with recommendations for these events.

“I am honored and humbled to represent the United States as we commemorate this incredible civic milestone,” said Daniel DiLella, “As a Commission, we seek to ensure that America’s 250th Anniversary achieves its full potential as a historic event that celebrates America’s core values, form of governance and commitment to freedom.”

Russell, PhD, The Helen and William O’Toole Dean of VSB. “We are excited to see Mr. DiLella’s role in the Commission as plans for the 250th anniversary of the United States begin to develop.”

DiLella is an accomplished business and civic leader both regionally and nationally. As President and CEO of Equus, he has grown the firm into a multi-faceted national real estate investment company.

DiLella is a member of the Board of Trustees of Villanova University, and Chair the Trustees’ Committee. He funded the establishment of the Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate at VBS where he is Chair of the Real Estate Advisory Council. DiLella holds an MBA from St. Joseph’s University and a BS in Finance from Villanova University.
