Future Diversity Leaders Program/Conference

Who? For students who have not yet been through the internship recruiting process, have approximately two years remaining of their education, and have a demonstrated interest in a career in public accounting; audit, tax, or advisory. 
What? KPMG’s Future Diversity Leaders (FDL) program is a structured leadership development and scholarship program for qualified college students in business curriculums. Participants receive both financial support and “professional” support through mentoring relationships with FDL faculty advisers and KPMG professionals. The FDL program represents a multi-year commitment to participants and can result in tremendous opportunities to launch a challenging and rewarding career in business. Here is a brief overview of how the program works: The FDL program begins with a three-day leadership conference hosted by KPMG in Hollywood, CA, focused on preparing high-potential students with the skills and perspective to be the business leaders of tomorrow. Upon successful completion of this leadership conference, each participant will receive a $1,000 scholarship and an opportunity to interview for a summer internship in our “trainee program” the following year. This first internship will give participants a head start into ”Corporate America,” providing rotational opportunities through our job shadow program and a mentoring relationship with a KPMG professional. In addition, participants will be mentored by one of our FDL faculty advisers. Upon successful completion of your first internship, you will receive another internship offer to continue in our trainee program.  You will then be eligible to receive up to an additional $5,000 in scholarship dollars, until you reach the summer before graduation. During the final summer of the program, participants will enter our “Practice Internship,” where they will gain actual hands-on experience working with a KPMG engagement team on one of our various clients in the line of business that they have chosen.

Global Advantage is a premier program that will send top students from all over the world to Berlin, Germany.
