Summer Interns in Dr. Duran's Laboratory Win Research Award

Three summer interns from Dr. Metin Duran’s laboratory have received the Student Research Award from the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association. R.J. Sindelar, David Kendall, and Ryan Clark, currently seniors in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of Lafayette College, worked on microbial source tracking research during the summer of 2007. Their award winning paper “Testing Efficacy of FAME Profiling for Predicting Sources of Fecal Pollution” describes the efforts to apply the innovative technology in local Goose Creek and Bushkill watersheds.
