Dr. Moeness Amin Elected Member of the Editorial Board of the Proceedings of the IEEE

Moeness Amin, PhD, director of the Center for Advanced Communications, has been elected as a three-year member of the editorial board of the Proceedings of the IEEE. The appointment letter states that Dr. Amin’s nomination is “based upon his stature within the IEEE community and is recognition of his outstanding contributions.” As a member of the board, Dr. Amin is expected to generate and convey ideas for Proceedings of the IEEE content, including invited articles and special issues. This activity includes recommending authors and potential guest editors who are knowledgeable in the subject area. Dr. Amin will also respond to proposals for articles, special issues and other content, and will offer informed counsel and advice in support of all publishing objectives.

Since it first appeared as the Proceedings of the IRE in 1913, Proceedings of the IEEE has been the leading journal to provide in-depth tutorial and review coverage of the technical developments that shape the world. The journal continues to offer review and survey articles of broad significance and long-range interest in all areas of electrical, electronics and computer engineering. It is the most highly-cited general interest journal in electrical engineering and computer science.
