The mission of the Sustainable Structures group is the advancement of scholarship in structural, and materials engineering within the context of education, sustainability and service to the global civil society.
The Structural Engineering Teaching and Research Laboratory (SETRL) is housed within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. This facility provides a unique environment where faculty and students, both undergraduate and graduate, work together to perform tests on a variety of full-scale and component size infrastructure elements.
