About the Director: George Simmons

Mr. Simmons is a multidisciplinary, entrepreneurial engineer, inventor and businessman. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from NJIT and an MS in Computer Science from Villanova University. His many years of experience in industry have led to five U.S. patents to date. Having founded several small businesses at the intersections of electrical, computer and mechanical engineering, Simmons has gained considerable experience in project management, business administration, accounting, contracting and human resources.

As the Director of Villanova’s Multidisciplinary Design Laboratory, Simmons’ mission is to engage undergraduate engineering students with industry partners through sponsored engineering projects. He is also a faculty member in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and teaches entrepreneurial engineering.
