Academic Progress Policy

Return of Title IV Funds

If a student completely withdraws from the University and has utilized Federal Title IV funds (e.g. Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant [SEOG], Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan, Federal Direct PLUS Loan, Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan), during the semester in which they withdraw, the University will observe the federally mandated process in determining what, if any amount of money must be returned to the federal program(s). read more...

Constitution Day, September 17, 2017

Constitution Day Lecture, Book Signing: Henry Olsen: 9/14

This year’s Constitution Day event will be hosted by the Ryan Center and the VCLE on Sept. 14, 4 p.m., in Bartley Hall 1011. Henry Olsen, of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, will be delivering the talk "We The People: Ronald Reagan's Populist Constitutionalism." Charlie Gerow and Earl Baker will offer response. Mr. Olsen, an important public commentator and author, will be available after the event to sign his much-acclaimed book, The Working Class Republican: Ronald Reagan and the Return of Blue-Collar Conservatism.

Freshman Deadlines

Freshman Class of 2021 Financial Assistance Application Deadlines:

  • January 15, 2017 -- 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filed PRIOR TO this date online at www.fafsa.gov 
  • January 15, 2017 -- 2017-2018 College Board Profile must be filed PRIOR TO this date online at profileonline.collegeboard.com
  • January 15, 2017* -- Completed signed copies of custodial parent(s)', stepparent's, and student's 2015 US Federal or Puerto Rico Tax Return as well as 2015 Federal W-2's, 1099/1099R's, and all tax schedules must be submitted to IDOC.

    *As early as November 1, 2016, but no later than January 15, 2017

**Financial Aid Awards will be available for viewing on April 1

Returning Student Deadlines

The Villanova University deadline for 2017-2018 financial aid for returning students is:

April 1, 2017 - Completed application materials must be postmarked by this date.

·2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filed PRIOR TO this date online at www.fafsa.gov.

·2017-2018 College Board Profile must be filed PRIOR TO this date online at profileonline.collegeboard.com.

·Completed signed copies of custodial parent(s)’, stepparent’s, and student’s 2015 US Federal or Puerto Rico Tax Return as well as 2015 W-2’s, 1099/1099R’s, and all tax schedules must be submitted to IDOC. *Do not submit tax documents to the Office of Financial Assistance*

Please Note: The IRS Data Retrieval Tool is currently unavailable.  While this tool is down, anyone selected for the Federal Verification Process must submit Signed Federal Income Tax Returns, for tax filers, and/or the Signed Non-Tax Filer Statement, for non tax-filers. Please refer to Step 4: Federal Verification for complete instructions.
