Recipients of the yellow ribbon program will be provided up to $4,150 from Villanova University. This amount will be matched by the VA and the combined funding cannot exceed $8,300 for the 2017 - 2018 academic year. (Aug.1 - Jul. 31) Villanova provides yellow ribbon funding to a maximum of 18 students annually. Villanova's participation in the Yellow Ribbon program is reviewed annually and subject to VA approval.
The Yellow Ribbon Program is awarded to qualifying students on a first-come, first-served basis. To be considered, qualifying students must:
- Be eligible for the maximum benefit rate under the Post 9/11 GI Bill®
- Not be serving on active duty or a spouse of an active duty member utilizing the transferred entitlement
- Be accepted into or already enrolled in a degree program at Villanova University
- Submit a copy of their Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to Villanova University's School Certifying Official (listed below).
Recipients will be selected based upon the date by which all conditions are met.
