VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova University alumnus Daniel Farino ’04 VSB will be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune Friday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m. on ABC. Farino is one of 15 contestants from the Greater Philadelphia area to be featured on Wheel of Fortune’s “Great American Cities: Philadelphia Week,” which runs May 16-20.
Farino was selected—from hundreds of potential contestants at an open tryout in Atlantic City—to participate in a private audition in Philadelphia, which included a written test, mock game and interview. He was later notified of his selection and flew to California to tape the Philadelphia Week episode.
A finance major in the Villanova School of Business, Farino graduated from the University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He was four-year member of the Villanova baseball team, serving as a team captain during his senior season. A right-handed pitcher and key fixture in the Wildcat bullpen, Farino made 60 appearances during his Villanova career, finishing with seven victories, three saves, 94 strikeouts and a 3.86 ERA in 140 innings of work.
Farino would go on to graduate cum laude from Rutgers School of Law in 2007. He lives in Medford with his wife, Lisa, and their 2-year-old son, Bryce, and has been an attorney in Archer & Greiner’s Environmental Law practice group since 2007. Farino is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association's Environmental Law Section and vice-chair of Medford's Environmental Affairs Advisory Committee.
