In order to share the riches of the Church's social teaching and to provide integration at every level, the Office for Mission & Ministry collaborates with the Villanova University School of Law to provide conferences and lectures to explore and apply Catholic social teaching.
The Villanova University School of Law sponsors the Joseph T. McCullen Jr. Symposium on Catholic Social Thought and the Law each fall semester.
The Office for Mission & Ministry sponsors a more broadly based, year-long lecture series on such topics as globalization, ecology, racism, and justice in the work place.
Both the conference and the series include invited keynote speakers and presenters who respond to an annual call for papers. Many of the papers offered at the conference or lecture series are subsequently published in the Journal of Catholic Social Thought, founded at and published by Villanova University.
More information about these conferences can be found on the respective web sites of the Office for Mission & Ministry and the Villanova University School of Law.
