BSN Transfer Curriculum Overview

'

The BSN Transfer Curriculum, for traditional and adult students, is a five semester program arranged in the traditional semester format. The program begins in August of each year and ends in August two years later. The student takes nursing coursework over four semesters and one summer session.

The BSN Transfer offers more time for outside activities:

  • Employment in a clinical setting
  • Participation in campus and community activities
  • Additional coursework

Students interested in this program option are encouraged to submit copies of their college transcripts well in advance of the March 1st application deadline to allow for a preliminary review and appropriate advisement. If beginning the process within one month of the application deadline, students may send application materials including transcripts without having had a preliminary review.

Upon successful completion of the BSN Transfer Curriculum, the student will receive a BSN degree and will be qualified to take the National Nursing Certification Examination (NCLEX) for licensure as a Registered Nurse.

College graduates - with a bachelor's degree in another discipline -  applying to the BSN Transfer Curriculum should visit the second degree options application page.

This program is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
