St. Thomas of Villanova Celebration

St. Thomas of Villanova Celebration

Each fall, the Villanova community begins the academic year with a celebration honoring St. Thomas of Villanova, the 16th-century Augustinian bishop of Valencia, Spain, and patron of the University. This tradition continues in 2017 with six days of special events.

Tuesday, September 19-20: 1842 Day

1842 Day is Villanova's first-ever day of giving. This is our opportunity to show pride and gratitude for the impact Villanova has on each of us, in our communities and around the world. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends can make a gift of any size to the designation of their choice, helping us reach our goal of 1,842 donors in 1,842 minutes. There will also be events on-campus and across social media to celebrate all that makes Villanova great. More details to come. 1842 Day begins 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, and concludes at 6:42 pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.
