Each fall, the Villanova community begins the academic year with a celebration honoring St. Thomas of Villanova, the 16th-century Augustinian bishop of Valencia, Spain, and patron of the University. This tradition continues in 2017 with six days of special events.
Time: 7 p.m., Location: Villanova Room, Connelly Center. Speaker: Eboo Patel, author of "Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, in the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation". Description: The Celebration begins with the St. Thomas of Villanova Lecture, an opportunity for the University community to examine an important and timely issue facing society. Reception to follow.
1842 Day is Villanova's first-ever day of giving. This is our opportunity to show pride and gratitude for the impact Villanova has on each of us, in our communities and around the world. There will also be events on-campus and across social media to celebrate all that makes Villanova great.
