Teaching and Learning

The role of diversity in higher education is more than numbers.  It is about coming to understand the differences within ourselves and others.  To be successful in our rapidly shrinking world is learning how to live, work and teach across the lines of difference.

The Center for Access, Success and Achievement works to present a variety of learning opportunities for all members of the Villanova community.  In the recent past we have brought distinguished speakers, film makers and authors to campus to talk about timely and important topics for us all to consider. Staff in the Center offer workshops about issues of inclusion and diversity for faculty and staff.

The Center in conjunction with the Office of Student Development sponsors the ACT (the Association of Change and Transformation), a student peer education group.  Finally the Center houses a resource center of books, DVD’s and other materials related to diversity.
