MAT 2705: Diff Equation with Linear Alg

Amanda Knecht
MWF 10:30-11:20PM, T 10:30-11:20PM

This course is designed to introduce science and engineering students to the fundamentals of linear algebra and differential equations.  Topics covered include: first-order ordinary differential equations, matrices and systems of linear equations, vector spaces and linear transformations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, higher-order linear differential equations, and systems of linear differential equations.  What makes this section an honors course is the use of more proofs in class and in homework.  Students in the honors class will learn how to write proofs by induction and will cover the more theoretical aspects of the subject than students in the other sections.
