Grant and Contract Account Maintenance

A vital function of the Office of Research Administration is to assist the faculty in the fiscal management of grant and contract accounts. ORA can obtain current account information directly from the University accounting system.

All faculty serving as PI's on sponsored accounts are strongly advised to take advantage of the frequent accounting system tutorials offered by Research Accounting which demonstrate how to have regular access to sponsored accounts.

ORA will make every effort to assist the Principal Investigator with account problems. If you discover any mistakes or questionable items, contact ORA for assistance. This is one of the most important activities in managing your account, and probably the best way you, as project managers or Principal Investigators, can help us assist you in solving any problems.

By utilizing account information in this way, ORA can make greater use of time to trouble-shoot any problems with your sponsored accounts.
