FAQs

There are so many changes that happen sophomore year—how can I balance it all without being stressed?

Amidst the busyness of life on Villanova’s campus, it can be easy to get overwhelmed by the stress of academic work, extracurricular commitments, and relational challenges. Additionally, students are young adults accomplishing a number of developmentally appropriate tasks related to identity creation and meaning making. Below are some of the many health and wellness resources Villanova offers to support your student in staying well and maintaining a healthy balance in life.

May I study abroad?

Villanova encourages all students to participate in an overseas experience. Each school and college collaborate with the Office of Education Abroad  to coordinate student participation in study abroad programs.  We have a variety of programs for the academic year as well as amazing options for summer opportunities that don’t disrupt the traditional semester calendar.

Are there internship opportunities?

Absolutely! Sophomore year is a time for students on campus to explore: in academics, personal development, and career exploration. The Villanova University Career Center is a fantastic resource for all students to become familiar. The Career Center can assist with both big and small decisions. Some of the resources your sophomore may want to take advantage of include:

  • Help defining academic and career goals
  • Help with the internship process
  • Writing a winning resume and/or cover letter
  • Interview preparation, including mock interview appointments
