Initiatives

SGA Accomplishments (October):

Assisted in the next 10 year strategic planning process for the University, which is looking into where Villanova should be in the coming decade

Co-Hosted a panel titled "Wait, What is Hazing?" during National Hazing Prevention Week with the Office Of Fraternity and Sorority Life

 

Met with UNIT to discuss how students can keep their Villanova emails after graduation as long as they have activity on their account at least once every six months

Responded to the U.S. President's decision regarding DACA [attached below]

Responded to the faculty and staff parental leave disparity [attached below]

Attended a Dinner and Dialogue with Public Safety to discuss how we can better the relationship between students and the officers

Attended a 6 hour ride along on a Friday night with Lower Merion Police to observe Villanova students from the police perspective [If other students are interested in this, please reach out]

Attended a Campus Community Dialogue which consisted of local government officials, local business/bar owners, local residents, and police officers (Lower Merion, Radnor, Villanova Public Safety) to discuss student issues pertinent to University life

Implemented a Virtual Suggestion Box to share your thoughts [attached below]

Welcomed in the six newly elected SGA Freshmen Senators [Katie Connolly, Matt Clarkin, John Michael Kinsella, Peter Butera, Sicheng Zhao (Tony), and Amanda Rappa]
