First-Year Adjustment
The University Counseling Center will be offering students a chance to meet and discuss the adjustment to college. College often entails many difficult transitions and can cause us to re-evaluate our beliefs about ourselves and the kinds of experiences we want in our lives. Students will
- have a chance to talk about the types of changes they've gone through since coming to college
- how they've coped with those changes
- give students a chance to learn about helpful opportunities and resources available.
Loss of a Loved One
Losing someone close to you is an emotionally difficult experience. In times of grief, we need the support of a community to heal. If you have lost a loved one in your life, you are invited to join fellow Villanova students in a meeting focused on grief and loss. Whether your loss is recent or further in the past, sharing with other students can be healing and restorative.
Meetings provide:
- a place to talk with
- listen to
- support other students
who have lost someone close to them.
Meeting time will be determined based on the schedules of interested students and take place at the University Counseling Center, where privacy is provided.
If interested in participating please call 610-519-4050 to schedule a time to meet with the meeting facilitator.
There will be opportunities to meet weekly or biweekly, depending on the interest of those who gather.
